Well Chris saved his best for last and scored the bronze medal on the 10k Open Water Ocean Swim at Wailea, Maui.
Your correspondent could not be at the race as he was over the pacific at 11000m. However speaking by phone this afternoon while he was at the Australian Team Dinner chris stated, " I threw my guts up for the last few laps, dad. It was hard."
It was good to hear that Chris was trying to out boast his sister who stated after her 1500m pool swim, "I vomited on the last lap."

A big word of support for young Josh Beard from Bayside club who finished 12th. It was Josh's first international meet and the highest standard junior meet in the world.
